Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
OnTilt is a research project studying behavioral patterns in AI-assisted work. We take privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
What We Collect
Quiz Responses
When you complete the AI Work Patterns Self-Check, we store:
- Your dimension scores (6 numeric values)
- Overall score and percentage
- Language used (EN or PL)
- Timestamp of completion
This data is fully anonymous. We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, browser fingerprint, or any other personally identifiable information alongside quiz responses.
What We Do NOT Collect
- No names or personal identifiers
- No IP addresses
- No browser fingerprints
- No cookies for the quiz (data is stored server-side)
- No email addresses from quiz completions
- No location data
Newsletter
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored by Buttondown, our third-party newsletter provider. Newsletter subscription is entirely separate from quiz participation and requires explicit opt-in. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. We maintain two separate lists (English and Polish) and your email is only added to the list you choose.
Analytics
We use PostHog hosted on EU cloud infrastructure for basic analytics. PostHog is configured in cookieless mode — no cookies are set, no personally identifiable information is collected. Analytics help us understand aggregate usage patterns such as which pages are visited and how many people complete the quiz.
Research Purpose
Anonymous, aggregate quiz data is used for research on AI tool usage patterns and behavioral dynamics in AI-assisted work. This research aims to contribute to the understanding of healthy work practices with agentic AI tools. Research findings may be published in aggregate form only — individual responses are never identifiable.
Data Storage and Retention
Quiz response data is stored in Convex, a cloud database. Since the data is fully anonymous, it is retained indefinitely for research purposes. There is no way to link stored quiz responses back to any individual.
Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of data we hold about you
- Deletion — request that your data be erased
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing of your data
Important note: Because quiz data is collected anonymously with no identifying information, we may not be able to identify which responses belong to you. In such cases, we cannot fulfill access or deletion requests for specific quiz responses, as there is no technical means to link them to an individual. This is by design — anonymity is your strongest privacy protection.
For newsletter subscriptions, Buttondown provides full GDPR compliance including the ability to access, export, and delete your email data.
